Where Cybersecurity Meets Trust

DataOpus, originally a product under disruptiveOps, emerged as an independent player in cybersecurity and data resiliency solutions. During development, Jonathan Jenkins, the company’s owner, recognized the potential to establish DataOpus as a stand-alone brand. As the sole designer on the project, I led each phase of the brand development process, working directly with CEO Jonathan Jenkins to stabilize DataOpus’s brand, I developed comprehensive Brand Identity Guidelines, starting with a foundational overhaul of their digital presence. My responsibilities covered the entire project lifecycle, from defining the brand’s core message to refining its visual identity.
The first step in crafting the identity manual involved a deep-dive questionnaire to capture the brand’s history, values, objectives, and the owner’s vision for this new chapter.

From these insights, I identified key descriptors that would shape the brand’s direction:

  • Innovation

  • Trust

  • Reliability

  • Integrity

  • Excellence

  • Specialization in database platforms

  • Compliance with industry cybersecurity standards

  • Data resiliency

A mood board followed, translating these attributes into visuals, color schemes, and typography suggestions that embody the brand’s essence. Given Jenkins’s desire to retain the logo, we made only minor adjustments, refining the grid and experimenting with colors to complement the updated palette. This rebranding effort created a cohesive identity that accurately reflects DataOpus’s role as a trusted leader in cybersecurity solutions, laying the foundation for its long-term success.
